Position Description

LifeEnergy is looking for a dynamic marketing leader to join our team and drive marketing communications strategy and execution excellence at LifeEnergy. The individual will be responsible for handling a wide variety of integrated marketing activities including communications, brand, collateral, and sales support.

This person will serve as the marketing focal point for LifeEnergy, communicating and fostering understanding of LifeEnergy marketing and communications strategy to key stakeholders. This individual will need to fit well within a culture where the factors of success are easily apparent – growth of top line revenue, growth of new customers, growth in new markets, and world-class execution of marketing communications.

The individual must have the ability to except new responsibilities and work well in an ever-changing, dynamic atmosphere.

Reporting Relationship

The individual will report to the VP Sales & Marketing.  The success of this individual will depend on their ability to build relationships in a start-up environment while developing dynamic reporting and performing analysis based on the needs of the business.  In addition to the VP Sales & Marketing, other critical relationships will include:

  • VP Operations
  • Director Sales
  • Director Supply

 The Manager will supervise all third-party agency relationships and freelance contractors that provide marketing and advertising services.

 Experience Required

  • 2-5 years experience in marketing communications.
  • Experience within other deregulated retail industries markets is a plus.
  • Experience within the energy industry is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in integrated sales and marketing program execution utilizing internal resources and/or external agencies.
  • Profound understanding of value-marketing, customer segmentation, and market analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, communicate and influence at all levels across internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing or business related field. MBA preferred.
  • Must be a US Citizen, or hold a valid work visa that does not require sponsorship in order to legally work full-time in the United States.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a sense of personal initiative and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools in a windows environment.

Functional Requirements:

  • Work closely with business unit leaders to develop marketing plans, formulate quarterly marketing calendar, and drive measurable lead generating activities.
  • Accurate project management in areas such as advertising, branding, events, sales support, analysis and market research, social media, and web design and content.
  • Execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, product launches and other marketing initiatives by working closely with sales and external agencies.
  • Track competitor growth in regions, product lines, market segments and channels.
  • Carry out Voice-Of- The-Customer interviews in order to deepen understanding of the needs of various customer segments and clarify value of LifeEnergy’s offerings.
